Key signs that your organization needs growth support

How often do these things happen in your organization?
* Individuals being served feel ignored, forgotten, or unheard?
* Emails go unanswered, phone calls not returned, messages lost?
* Staff members feel overwhelmed, overburdened, burned out?

Would the people your organization aims to serve say that Amazon.com knows and serves them better?

These are just a few of the many challenges any organization can experience. The good news is that there are solutions!

God is the ultimate administrator, planner, analyst, counselor, strategist, organizer, leader, & more. Jesus is the name above ALL names, including CEO, COO, CFO and so forth. He Himself spoke into existence these very structures.

As believers we have access to all of His resources:

“Thus says the Lord of  hosts: If you will walk in My ways and keep My charge, then also you  shall rule My house and have charge of My courts, and I will give you  access [to My presence] and places to walk among these who stand here.”

Zechariah 3:7 AMPC

Do you recognize this promise? Do you claim it?

It is often true that an organization is unlikely to be aware of its own inability to support those who get lost in the cracks. Emails are unanswered because they aren’t even seen or remembered, messages never delivered are messages never brought to our attention, phone calls not returned are phone calls we are unaware we need to make.

It is also often true that an organization is likely to accept staff burn out, stress and strain as the natural result of work in God’s kingdom. Is this Biblical?

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]

“Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.

“For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.”

Matthew 11:28-30 AMPC

How true are you finding this to be in your own life and in the life of your organization and its members? Do you recognize this promise? Do you claim it?

So what’s the first step in moving forward? Prayer, corporately and individually. Recognize your needs and God’s promises in a conversation with Him.

“Roll your works upon the  Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts  to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established  and succeed.”

Proverbs 16:3 AMPC
